James Wilkinson graduated from Trinity College (Hartford) in 2010. Post-college, he worked extensively on the North Shore in a variety of backstage capacities. In 2014, he co-founded Exiled Theatre with his partner-in-crime, Teri Incampo, and the two set about unleashing their theatrical sensibilities on the Boston theater community. As a director, James helmed Exiled’s productions of Ashes to Ashes, The Wasteland, She Looks Good in Black and hang. As a playwright, he wrote Exiled’s first production, Strange Days: five tales concerning dark paths, odd mercies and birthday cake and more recently, Nurse Play. Nurse Play was also nominated for a 2018 Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) award for Best New Play. His short plays have also been featured in the Boston Theater Marathon, Salem Theatre Company’s Moments of Play, and Feral Theatre Company and Roxbury Repertory Theatre’s 6 Playwrights in Search of a Stage.
